Reduction mode

Compress Only: Creates a smaller packaged copy without changing model content. Conservative Viewer Copy: Applies limited reductions suitable for coordination / viewing copies. Aggressive Viewer Copy: Removes more metadata and may affect downstream use. For read-only copies only. Split by Storey: Reduces scope by creating separate files per storey.

Risk and warnings

Best for safest filesize reduction: Compress Only (.ifczip).

I understand destructive/aggressive options may remove data and are for read-only copies.

Optimise warning: “This option uses IfcPatch Optimise. The IfcOpenShell documentation warns that it is very, very slow and should be treated as a lossy optimisation for read-only copies.”
